🧩 MME #001: Why You Should (Consider) Quitting Your Job?
1. Path to success often comes with hurdles…
I respect Tony a lot - and love his tweets.
Although, these steps are super high level and may sound arbitrary these are great to get up and going.
If you are thinking on quitting the job - make sure you complete the steps before "Quit job" and are well prepared for the steps after it.
2. Ready to QUIT? Wait, read this….
Not only for investors - but this is true for all the jobs.
TBH - saying someone "STOP making excuses" is much easier said than done.
And "work 12 hours a day" ?!!!
If you are thinking of starting a side hustle be prepared to work 25-hours a day. 🤪
3. Turning challenges into opportunities…
Although it's encouraged to compare to your past-self than anyone else... make sure you are not going too hard on yourself.
I whole heatedly believe in 1% improvement on a daily basis goes a long way.
...and the best part of quitting job is FREEDOM!
it's a lot worth than you imagine.
Here’s my journey details from India to USA - and how did I end up in $40k debt.
4. "ghosting" to a whole new level 😰
Maybe they were so intimidated by her awesomeness that they couldn't handle it.
Put it in action…
Don’t quit your job just after reading these tweets - instead, take a step back, ask yourself some of those hard questions.
are you excited to go to work every Monday after the weekend?
do you feel constant pressure from manager or tight deadlines?
are you learning new things on a regular basis?
Don't quit - even if after at the end of that session you feel like quitting.
First, come up with a game plan for what next:
Reflect on your situation
What are your alternatives?
Share your feelings with someone you trust
Ultimately, your happiness matters. Don't settle for mediocrity.
Cheers,
