Because they’ve mastered the art of soft skills.

If you are job hunting - learn tech.

But, if you are looking for promotion - improve your communication skills.

This includes:

• Learn to listen well

• Be clear and proactive in your communication

• Learn to delegate tasks

  • What 3 things are keeping your away from achieving them

    • eg: Manager doesn’t have confidence in me

    • eg: I don’t know the tech or the business domain

  • And work towards overcoming those shortcomings and achieving your goals.

• Soft skills

  • This week write 3 things that make you uncomfortable to ask for - and ask them

    • eg: Ask manager - can I work on a [this] project and lead a team of 2 peers?

    • eg: Ask manager - can we have a 1:1 to talk about potential raise

    • eg: or… just ask your crush out on a coffee
